Is Your Toilet Running? You'd Better Catch it

A leaky toilet can be a  nuisance with the continuous dripping noise and wasting good water. If you have a dual-flush toilet that has a constant or periodic leak/drip, try this;

Here is what a typical Dual-Flush valve looks like from the top. First turn off the water supply. Then grab the body of the valve and rotate counterclockwise about 1/8 of a turn and pull straight up.

Here you can see the white rubber gasket/seal at the bottom of the valve assembly.

Simply remove it and replace it with a new one from your favourite plumbing supply store.

Tip: Try flipping the gasket/seal upside down, if you are lucky that may just stop the leak.

Tip: Inspect & clean the mating surface where this seal make contact with the toilet.

If this doesn't stop the leak, please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to help you troubleshoot the issue.
